© Annunciation Catholic School 2011-2012 Applying to Annunciation Catholic School Annunciation Catholic School is currently accepting applications for grades PK-8 for the 2012-2013 school year.  For  more information or to schedule a school visit, contact Mrs. Barbara Higgins, School Secretary, at 252-447-3137 or  email Mrs. Higgins at bhiggins@annunciationcatholicnc.org.  Entrance Age: Children entering Preschool must be 3 years old on or before August 31 to be considered for admission  in the current academic year.  Children entering PreKindergarten must be 4 years old on or before August 31 to be  considered for admission in the current academic year.  Children entering Kindergarten are to be 5 years old on or  before August 31 for enrollment in the current academic year.  Application: Complete the application form, answering all application items in detail and return to the school office with  a $50.00 per child non-refundable application fee.  Applications submitted without required copies will be considered  incomplete and will be held until application is complete.  Teacher Recommendation: Teacher recommendation forms are included with the application portfolio and are  available online.  Applicants for grades 6, 7, or 8 must have three teacher recommendations: two of which must be  completed by the student's current English and Math teachers, with the other from any of the student's current or  previous teachers.  Applicants for grades 1-5 must have two recommendations, at least one from a current teacher.  If  an applicant to Kindergarten has attended preschool, please include at least one recommendation from a teacher.  Acceptance of Admission: A student's admission is conditional upon the satisfactory completion of the year in  progress.  Admission is based on the match of the student's needs, abilities, and achievement to the programs offered  by the Annunciation Catholic School.  Criteria used to determine this match are transcripts, teacher recommendations,  Stewardship Form, interview (when possible) and other application and registration information.  Notification of Admission: Based upon satisfactory completion of the application process, review of a student's  application and strength of credentials, and space availability, a student will be extended an offer of admission with a  letter of admission, tuition agreement, and registration packet.  Registration: The registration and tuition agreement must be completed and returned to Annunciation Catholic School,  along with a $250.00 per child tuition deposit*.  The following documents are also required: most recent report card,  birth certificate, Baptismal certificate (if the student is Catholic), and immunization record/state health forms.  2012-2013 Tuition: All fees are included in the total cost of tuition.  Tuition assistance is awarded by the Tuition Assistance Committee based on clearly demonstrated need.  For  more information, please contact Mrs. Susan G. In order to receive the Catholic parishioner rate, you must be a registered parishioner and have been contributing  financially to Annunciation Catholic Parish for six months and submit a Stewardship form signed by your pastor.  The tuition deposit is credited towards tuition.  Should a student leave prior to the end of the academic year, the  $250.00 tuition deposit is forfeited.  Physicals Physicals are required for those new to the school in Preschool, Prekindergarten, Kindergarten or First Grade.
