Welcome one and all to the 2010-2011 School Year. We are already busy preparing for the schools events and fundraisers. Please check back often to learn of volunteer opportunities as well as social events to attend. We are using a new website, Lotsahelpinghands.com (LHH), to help coordinate and schedule volunteers this year. Please make sure to check your email for any messages from LHH; this will let you know what is available to sign up for and where you can help. We look forward to working with all parents this year and making this a successful time. Look for us at your Back to School Parents Meeting Sept 8th & 9th.
Walkathon is coming Sept 16th! Our first major fundraiser of the year. Look for more information and sponsor sheets to come home soon. This event has the students helping raise money for the school by walking laps on the field. Students can get family, friends, neighbors, and businesses to sponsor or donate to the school. Also remember, any donations can be considered charitable tax-donations because we are a non-profit organization. Donation letter can be obtained upon request.
**Facebook Users** We need your help. Vote for Annunciation Catholic School by going to http://www.facebook.com/kohls today. We have until Sept 3rd to cast our votes. The schools with most votes will receive monetary contributions from Kohls to aid the school. Click on the Vote Now Find your School and allow access, type our school name and you can vote up to five times. Spread the word and help us to help others.
Volunteer Safe Training
Anyone planning to volunteer at Annunciation Catholic School must attend a Safe Environment Training session. This training protects you and all the children in the school, ensuring a safe environment. There is no cost for the training and once you take the class, you are covered for five (5) years. There will be other classes offered in the deanery - we will be posting dates, locations and times as they become available. Please call the School Office at 447-3137 if you have any questions.
