Key responsibilities / day-to-day job functions
● Planning and teaching curriculum to K-8 Spanish classes in a developmentally appropriate manner, with an emphasis on differentiating instruction and using assessments effectively. 
● Creating an inclusive classroom environment through supportive exchanges with students and clear expectations for community behavior. 
● Using a broad range of instructional modalities to teach the Spanish language. 
● Using a broad range of technology tools to bring to life Spanish instruction. 
● Working and communicating effectively with parents and staff members. 
● Articulating and modeling the school’s mission and core values. 
● Supporting and following school policies 
● Being a positive and contributing member of the professional community. 

Position Qualifications: 
● Bachelor’s degree required, in subject matter preferred. 
● Fluency in modern Spanish. 
● Teaching credential preferred. 
● Eligible to work in the US. 
● Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 
● Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills. 
● Collaborative work ethic 
● Good sense of humor and warm demeanor

Annunciation Parish and Catholic School is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and qualified teacher to educate our students academically and spiritually. 

Key responsibilities / day-to-day job functions

Integrate and create faith-based, positive educational climate for students
Maintain positive relationships with staff and parents
Create instructional resources for use in the lesson
Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that engage students and are differentiated based on students needs
Plan for both formative and summative assessments
Utilize positive and effective classroom management strategies to ensure student learning
Participate in ongoing collaboration and planning with colleagues
Perform non-instructional duties as needed
Maintain online grade book weekly
Create and submit weekly lesson plans
Utilize various curriculum resources, including technology
Work with administration to ensure initiatives are being met
Meet course and school-wide student performance goals

Minimum Requirements

Minimum level of Education-Applicants should hold a NC state teaching license in Science (6-8) or related area and be able to be eligible for license.

Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing a criminal background and reference checks
Completing Safe Environment Training within 60 days of hire
